The Lost Novels
When the Earthdawn line was ended by FASA Corporation in 1998, several projects were caught in progress. Three Earthdawn novels suffered. Their English language publication plans were cancelled. While published in French and German, they were not published by FASA. These novels; Liferock by Jak Koke and Scars and Little Treasures by Caroline Spector continued to expand the Earthdawn story and bridged the gap between Earthdawn and Shadowrun.
This first time FASA omnibus edition contains the full original text and new interior art. The edition is well over 560 pages. The deluxe edition follows the format of our core rules deluxe editions with a foil stamped leatherette hard cover, gilt page edges and a place holder ribbon sewn into the binding. Either or both editions will make great additions to anyone's library.
Liferock
Dive into the mysterious world of Obsidimen. Born fully formed from their Liferock, they live for a thousand years before they are reabsorbed to share their souls with their brotherhood.
Young Pabl Evr returns home for his Naming, only to find his liferock threatened by a mining crew and in peril from an apocalyptic remnant of the Scourge that threatens to destroy the Liferock, kill the whole community, and erase the entirety of their ancestral memories.
Scars
A brooding fantasy which delves into the darkest aspects of relationships and the scars that they leave.
The inhabitants of Barsaive made many sacrifices to survive the 500-year Scourge which ravaged their lush land. The noble Therans built elaborately warded undergorund kaers deep in the Earth, the city of Parlainth shifted to another plane, and the proud Elves of Blood Wood endured the excruciating Rite of Thorns.
Now the Scourge has ended; the metaplanar Horrors have begun to withdraw. Cities are rebuilt, and the peoples of Barsaive are starting to forget.
But Aina cannot forget. Aina carries the scars of the desperate choices she made five hundred years ago—choices which allowed her to survive, but which haunt her as relentlessly as the Horror that trails her every step.
Outcast, immortal, and alone, Aina must return to Blood Wood to gather the threads of her past which can set her free. She will use anything—and anyone—to escape her ancient pact with the Horror and his terrible gift.
If the Horror will let her . . .
Little Treasures
What would you do if your former lover asked for help? Aina, an Elf, must answer that question. She loves a Blood Elf, Aithne Oakforest, but he loves Sidra, a human held captive by the war-like Therans. When Aithne asks her to save Sidra, the woman who is bearing his child, Aina must decide whether to set aside her love for him to rescue Siidra. The choice requires immense sacrifice and an act of betrayal that would destroy everything that matters to her. The decision could lead her straight to hell, and condemn her to an increasingly painful intimacy with… the world-invading Horror.
